Agriculture and Currie
We’re passionate about agriculture at Currie. It’s where our business started and while we may have changed a lot since then, it’s still a big part of who we are.
Many of us grew up on farms, worked at agricultural newspapers including the Stock & Land and the Weekly Times and we’ve maintained those links, in part through our close involvement with the Rural Press Club of Victoria.
Recently we’ve been work with Dairy Australia on corporate reputation and sustainability, with Meat and Livestock Australia on its environment campaigns and in 2011 and 2012, we planned, wrote and produced a research magazine AG in Focus Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Department of Primary Industries.
We also recognise the importance of the rural communities that support Australian agriculture, working with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries on its Rural Support Program and with the Geoffrey Gardiner Foundation on Strengthening Small Dairy Communities.
Sometimes we even write about agriculture and the challenges it faces, quite apart from our client work.
