Our Partners
Kidsafe
Assisting not-for-profit organisations with their communications is one way Currie gives back to the community. Currently, we are working with Kidsafe Victoria to develop corporate partnerships that will help facilitate its work in child injury prevention.
Public Relations Global Network
Currie is the exclusive Australian affiliate for the Public Relations Global Network Inc. (PRGN), an international organisation of 40 leading independent owner-operated consultancies with more than 50 offices and more than $100 million in revenue worldwide.
This powerful network provides Currie with access to expertise and experience generally found in only the largest agencies. The benefit is that clients gain the big agency expertise but with the added value of our personal and committed service.
Registered Consultancies Group
Currie Communications is a founding member of the Registered Consultancies Group (RCG) of Victoria. Mark Paterson, Currie’s Managing Director, has been Chair of the Victorian chapter of the RCG for past three years. Established by the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), the RCG consists of 160 consultancies Australia-wide.
The RCG sets professional standards on ethics and operations. For clients, Currie’s membership provides them with the assurance that we operate in a responsible and ethical manner and strive to achieve professional excellence.
Rural Press Club of Victoria
Currie has been actively involved in the Rural Press Club of Victoria for 18 years.
Currently we run the Secretariat, a role that involves meeting and database management, writing and distributing media releases on the monthly speakers, targeting sponsors, updating the website and sending out meeting notices.
Founded in 1966 by a group of rural journalists and public relations consultants, the RPCV was formed to offer a forum for fellowship for people involved in the rural industry.
Today, that fellowship continues at monthly luncheon meetings at which influential and often outspoken speakers present their thoughts on issues of significance to the communities of rural and regional Victoria.
