Radio strategy showcases opera tour

A talent quest, which invites radio listeners to show-off their musical talent and “ring and sing” on air, has been used to highlight Oz Opera’s new production of La traviata.

As part of a media campaign to promote Australia Post’s sponsorship of Oz Opera http://tinyurl.com/358ns3k, Currie is sending a targeted release with audio grabs to regional radio stations, too.

And for the first time, Oz Opera and Australia Post have instigated community programs, starting with a workshop for indigenous children from the Dhungala Children’s Choir http://tinyurl.com/358zczq.

This year’s production of La traviata by Oz Opera, currently touring regional areas, has been hailed as “stunning”, “impressive” and “a winner” by Australia’s leading daily papers.
